Dan's work primarily included being the Project Manager overseeing the design of the exterior envelope. This included the resort's custom curtainwall, featured indoor/outdoor pool decks and 2-acre (8,100 m2) landscaped outdoor areas over an intensive green roof system. For green roofs, the 3 feet of soil depth is fantastic for a robust selection of vegetation, but does provide greater challenges for waterproofing of the spaces below the green roof. Therefore, an equally robust and double waterproofing system was designed for underneath the entire green roof. pool deck level.

Other features included private cabanas, fire pits and outdoor hotel lobby with green wall as waiting areas. And of course, all these spaces overlook the beauty and intensity of the Atlantic ocean.
