DESCRIPTION
Chubby Cattle is the anchor of this Philadelphia Chinatown 4 story mixed use development. 2 stories of apartments over 2 story ground floor retail to complete the revitalization of this early century building. One of the most challenging things about this project is how to re-imagine how a 100 year old building can be used to meet today's more stringent building codes while at the same time respect the size and heritage of a building in the heart of Chinatown, Philadelphia.
By preserving architectural heritage and embracing cultural narratives, the establishment serves as a living example of the Lamp of Life, where architecture and design nurture the spirit of place and the people it serves.
